It was a tradition in high schools for the Senior Class to present a gift to the school at the time of their graduation. The Senior Class of 1936 at Jesup High School presented to the school a goldfish pond. Through the years, the pond structure has remained but its use as a gold fish pond ended at an unknown time. Before the Wayne County School System turned the old Jesup Elementary School complex over to the City of Jesup, the pond was turned into a planter. Wouldn’t it be fun to see how a goldfish pond could return?
