Message from Chief Takaki

It is an honor and privilege to serve the citizens of Jesup and Wayne County. Our goals continue to evolve as we strive to make our community the safest place to live and increase the quality of life. The Jesup Police Department will continue to explore new ways to fight crime utilizing eclectic methods in crime analysis, enforcement, technology, and community based programs.

The Jesup Police Department faces serious challenges as the economy recovers and new threats emerge as street level gang violence and drug related crimes increase. We have activated the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) unit to address these concerns. We have also took a pro-active approach in training our officers to instill the community policing, professionalism, integrity, and transparency in our operations.

I want to thank all of my fellow Jesup Police Department members for their excellent service and thank you, the community, for allowing me to serve as your Chief of Police. Together we will continue to make our community a safe place to live.

I want to invite anyone who has a question or concern to contact me by phone at (912) 427-1300 or to come see me at 642 E. Plum Street, Jesup, GA 31546.
