PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT ~ A SINGLE Positive Case of Rabies has been verified in Wayne County. As of 05-04-2016 a case of a fox killed out K'Ville Rd has came back positive for Rabies. Please have your pets updated on their Rabies vaccinations. Instruct your children on the dangers of handling strange animals. Visit https://dph.georgia.gov/rabies to learn more about this disease, know what to look for, and what to do if you feel like you or your pet may have been bitten by a rabid animal. If you feel that you have a rabid animal on your premises please call (912) 427-5992 to have an Officer or Deputy sent to you to assist. Do NOT approach any animal you are unsure of. Again this is only a SINGLE case for our county but we feel it is important that everyone take precautions to protect you and your pets. Stay Safe out there.
