[ARCHIVED] BOX TRUCKS BLOCKING TRAFFIC IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS CAUSING HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS

It has been brought to the attention of the Jesup Police Department that there are several Landscaping businesses utilizing Box Trucks. While that in itself is not an issue, we are having a problem with the Trucks being parked ON the roadways and blocking traffic. These vehicles are too large to safely see around and are potential hazards to other vehicles and pedestrians trying to travel the roadway. All persons utilizing these vehicles are asked to park in the driveway or nearest location available that is NOT in the roadway. The Jesup Police Department will be checking to verify all roadways are clear and those found in violation will be cited. If you have any questions or concerns please contact Chief Glenn Takaki at (912) 427-1300.
